LESSON PLAN - DEVELOPING READING AND WRITING SKILLS USING NATURAL ENVIRONMENT
Subject- The weather.
The main objective: training reading and writing skills.
Operational objectives:
Student is able to:
- search words in collection of letters;
- recognise vowels;
- match pictures with their English meaning ;
- collect vocabulary based on the picture being seen;
- read and understand the known vocabulary by doing the appropriate instructions;
- work in group and individually;
- assess weather conditions and use the appropriate vocabulary in accordance with
the prevailing conditions;
- complete the sentences with the correct words;
- match the words with the meanings;
- assess the weather picture and sign it with the appropriate word;
Methods: nature trip, practical exercises
Forms of work: individual, group
Necessary materials: brown paper, sheets of blue paper, felt-tip pens, envelopes, glues, hula hoops, sashes, worksheets, kids play tunnel
The course of lesson:
- Students cross out only vowels (i, o, u) from the string of letters, and then read and write the password from other letters. The password is the subject of the lesson.

Students match pictures with their English meaning e.g. (storm, cloud, rain, wind, hail, snow)
- Workout by playing fun with known vocabulary.
